Great start in San Fran for Burling and Team Korea

Team Korea have made  a great start to the latest round of the Americas Cup World Series headed up by new helmsman, and youngest skipper of the Series, 21 year old Peter Burling from New Zealand.

In match racing qualifiers today Burling and the Team Korea crew took a narrow two second victory over Chris Draper of Luna Rossa Piranha.

The victory sees them through to the next round of match racing set to face up to Artemis Racing – White tomorrow.  Terry Hutchinson is the in-form match racing skipper of the series and could prove a tough opponent for the rookie helm who recently won Olympic Silver for New Zealand in the 49er class.

Racing on San Francisco bay was spectacular today with a brisk and solid 20 knot breeze and tricky wind against tide conditions.
